Kicking & Screaming With Muscles - V

Posted by V

Muscles, the Australian electronic producer with a permanent chip on his shoulder, has officially gone off his goddamn rocker.

If you follow music news at all you already know about Muscles’ dramatic December in which he declared a one-man war on his label, Modular Records and followed it up with rants on his blog and twitter that he will not release a second album and will quit the music industry forever. As if he hadn’t already established his position in the online media’s scrutinous eye, today finds Muscles back in the spotlight. Australian online music magazine Mess and Noise decided (for reasons I will never understand) to let Muscles interview indie darling Ben Lee. The resulting interview is a long-winded, know-it-all rant from Muscles on the fucked state of the music industry. Muscles really loves to talk about himself. I applaud Ben Lee for his restraint and patience. I truly feared for his personal safety in a room alone with this lunatic.

Muscles will definitely burn out before he fades away—and I can’t say I’ll miss him one bit.
