POP PARFAIT :: Ridin’ Music - bryanb

The summer brings out different emotions in me—it’s only natural. I have said in previous posts how times and seasons are marked by specific albums/acts/genres in my head. And on that rare chance I can score a car ride through the city, maybe even with the top down, I just want to hear slow, west coast/Miami style sun-drenched pop and R&B. The kind that rides a slow beat and the harmonies are sugary sweet. Lyrics about love or ice cream or sweating it out waiting for your phone to ring only add to the pleasure.
Wading through some upcoming pop releases I gravitated towards two tracks—It’s Gotta Be Love from Kristina DeBarge and Falling (ft. Stack$) from Brooke Hogan. (Side note: I just realized these girls are really known for having famous fathers and that’s about it…hmmm.)
Both of these cuts conjure up that spirit I know and love. SWV would be proud.
Kristina DeBarge – It’s Gotta Be Love (199 kbps)
Brooke Hogan – Falling (ft. Stack$) (189 kbps)
