On the record, New Order are not only one of the most influential groups in music history’s timeline, but my personal favorite act, of all time. At this point I’ve probably heard everything they’ve ever recorded and 1983’s Power, Corruption & Lies remains my vote for their best release. Confusion was one of the most important tracks New Order would produce over their nearly three decade long career, establishing the dancier side of the group’s sound and inspiring the scope of electronic music through today.
