It’s a Prime Time for a Change of Mind - V

London duo, The Agitator, are proving that you don’t need a fancy studio, a lucrative record deal, or even guitars to make some noise.
The Agitator’s formula is simple, ex-Maccabee and drummer Robert Dylan Thomas smashes the skins while vocalist Derek Meins howls heart-pumping proletariat anthems intended to rouse the inner rebel. Don’t be fooled by their stripped down approach to music, The Agitator have a sound bigger than most acts three times their size. With the passion (and the looks) of a New Deal era reformer, Meins’ backs his own throaty hollering with a bag of tricks that includes clanging on pipes and jiggling his adam’s apple until his vocal range takes on a vibrato. Their political agenda isn’t just a clever act, channeling the fervor of change with fists in the air, The Agitator urges citizens to stop talking and start doing.
Check out Get Ready below and have a peek at a snippet from The Agitator’s recent gig at London’s 12 Bar.
