I’ve been wanting to kick this off for awhile and am finally getting around to it this week. Between all the mixes sent in and the random gems we find by accident, CreamTeam is swimming in mixtapes. Each Monday morning we’ll share something new to kick off your week properly. And who knows, maybe from time to time we’ll team up with some folks to bring you CT exclusive mixes. —Ed.

I’ve been running a lot the past few months am always on the lookout for a mix that can keep my feet moving without relying on rehashing the same club bangers over and over. NYC’s Skinny Friedman and Sammy Bananas have been throwing a little shindig called The Player’s Club for a year now and in honor of the event’s first birthday put together a mix titled, A Year At The Player’s Club: The Gold Watch.

The duo pack 22 tracks ranging from UGK to Mayer Hawthorne to Washed Out into 38 minutes of short cuts and original reworks with a funk-heavy retro feel. Some of the track selections seem like they could never work together, but you’re in for a surprise.
