Welcome to Georgiavania, a magical place where soul gladiators cavort with Dirty South vampires and R&B spacemen across dripping metallic clouds of synthesizers and hip-hop echoes via the minds of Jneiro Jarel (Shape of Broad Minds) and Khujo Goodie (Goodie Mob).

Georgiavania is the debut release from the duo’s new project, Willie Isz, which if you ever followed MTV’s Oddities, you’ll know is a reference to cult animated series, The Maxx. Georgiavania bursts with creativity, a collection of 13 tracks, each one odder than the next, closely following the path paved by OutKast. It’s no surprise that the duo cite The Maxx as inspiration and tasked former Silas artist and Amos Toys creator James Jarvis with illustrating the album artwork. Georgiavania is a surreal aural comicbook inhabited by fantastic creatures gathered at the best club at the end of the universe.

An interesting contender in a genre often at war with itself, through an unabashed embrace of fantasy, Georgiavania mixes street sage and excess with such skill that Willie Isz just might be offering the battle between hip-hop and hip-pop a much needed left hook to the jaw.
