If you’ve been reading this blog for awhile then you know we’re both fans and friends of Bit Funk and have been doing our part to spread his music to new ears throughout the year. And, it seems to be working. Bloggers and DJs alike have latched onto the mysterious now-residing-in-Chicago producer and he’s been making the buzz rounds in electronic music circles. He’s been busy behind the scenes lately with some new, exciting projects in the works for the coming year and a slew of commissioned tunes.

In the latter category, I’ve been hounding Bit Funk for posting privileges of his remix of LA electro-hop outfit Oh Shit!’s Tha Illest. Clubby, but still stamped with that disco synth watermark that we’ve all come to know and love, it’s a great mix of upbeat funk and filtered hip-hop. As an added bonus, Bit Funk also sent us a remix of one of his (and my) favorite tracks, Girlfriend Is Better from the Talking Heads. As much as I’ve been excited and waiting to share this Oh Shit! remix, I’m even more excited for you to hear the magic Bit Funk worked on the Talking Heads.
