I was a little scared no one would write in for the Kid Cudi contest, but you all surprised me as I actually got quite a few great responses for the ticket giveaway. Guess people are reading this site daily! I feel quite proud today.
I’ve selected my winners, so here they are below. Thanks to EVERYONE who wrote in—hopefully I will see ALL of you all tonight.
I’m a big believer in fate and things that were “just meant to be”, so I liked first winner Matthew Ledvina’s little anecdote of Kid Cudi deja vu:
Cosmic Coincidence? I heard Day N’ Nite again at the Akira fashion show last night, posted it as one of my favorite songs this morning on Facebook and now you guys are throwing a party with him. Totally crazy.
And here is Kid Cudi’s most dancefloor-friendly track, Day N’ Nite:
Kid Cudi – Day N’ Night (200 kbps VBR)
I appreciated the thought-out answer of second winner, Ben McKeown:
The bits I’ve heard just sound less “forced” than most Hip-Hop. Lately whenever a track drops it feels like the lyrics were done, and some poor tool had to write a beat to wrap around it. Kid Cudi just flows. And fave track? Easy. Man on The Moon, cause who doesn’t want to go to the fuckin’ moon?
Ben and I must think alike as I ALMOST posted Man on The Moon this morning, but changed my mind at the last minute:
Kid Cudi – Man on The Moon (200 kbps)
