Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, The Temper Trap breathes modernity and screams marketability. Composed of Dougy, Jonny, Lorenzo and Toby, The Temper Trap has one of those sounds that you know with one listen is going to be big. Sweeping, dramatic vocals accompanied by guitar and percussion not afraid to draw on both indie and punk influences ensure that The Temper Trap will appeal to both the mainstream and forward-thinking musical tastemakers.

While you Australian readers probably already have The Temper Trap on your radar from their 2006 self-titled EP and appearances at multiple major festivals including V Festival, The Great Escape and The Laneway Festival, The Temper Trap are about the explode worldwide. With their debut album nearing completion, and plans for full tours in the works, The Temper Trap have teamed up with Curtis Vodka to remix their first single, Sweet Disposition.

I’ve had the personal pleasure of seeing some of this come together behind the scenes, and I’m proud to say that this is the very first blog you will find this remix on! Vodka weaves Sweet Disposition into 8 minutes of atmospheric, dreamy, aural bliss. Like a excerpt from a cinematic score, Vodka paces the drawn-out intro and filtered vocal echoes into an explosion of reverberating chorus. Stepping outside the boundaries of his groove and funk roots, Vodka puts together an ethereal remix, playing heavily off Dougy’s unique, high-pitched vocals.
