I’ve been meaning to write up Alt-Ctrl-Sleep for a couple weeks now, but Obamarama caught hold of me. Let’s get back on track here.

Alt-Ctrl-Sleep craft beautiful psychedelic-pop in the vein of Yo La Tengo, Air and Band of Horses. The Huntersville, North Carolina husband and wife duo of Joe and April Diaco create some of the dreamiest music I’ve heard. Slighty spacy and electronic, with obvious shoegaze influences, Alt-Ctrl-Sleep’s sound wonderfully complements their name.

I can’t recommend their self-titled 16-track debut album enough. Pick up a copy on iTunes, curl up next to the one you love and drift into unconsciousness with Alt-Ctrl-Sleep’s lo-fi lullabies.
