Falcor Still Soaring Strong - V
It doesn’t take long for a music blogger to be added to every DJ/band/record label’s email list. This is both awesome and awful. It’s tedious and disheartening to wade through weekly submissions from a DJ or band that is honestly, just a completely wrong fit for this blog in the first place. On the flip side, I’ve found some amazing music by groups and labels I would have never heard of before CreamTeam. There are a few favorites who stick out and among them is Spain’s Buffet Libre.
You may remember Buffet Libre from back in June when I wrote up one of their mixes. I guess they liked what I wrote, because they have been filling my inbox with fire ever since. It’s taken extreme restraint not to do a weekly Buffet Libre post, but that wouldn’t be fair to all the other great music out there waiting to be blogged about.
The folks at Buffet Libre are prepping to release the second installment of their highly lauded Rewind series this January and sent a few early premiere tracks our way. They are all fantastic. I honestly don’t know how these guys find time to sleep. Their projects are frequent, ambitious and perfectly executed.
We are big Giorgio Moroder fans here at CreamTeam. Maybe it’s just my childhood obsession with the film speaking, but my personal favorite Moroder track is Never Ending Story. Buffet Libre passed along this fantastic cover of Never Ending Story from Canadians featuring Cherielynn Westrich, former vocalist and keyboardist for The Rentals.

As much as I’d like to remember this as a Giorgio Moroder track myself, I believe it was actually credited to Limahl – you know, the Kajagoogoo guy…
