The Friends Zone - newbornrodeo

Has anyone ever been stuck in the friends zone? You know, that dreadful point in a friendship when you pursue a romantic relationship to no avail? Finally, someone has put those frustrations into musical form. His name is 88-Keys. His debut album, The Death of Adam (executive produced by Kanye West), hit stores last week and The Friends Zone is an undeniable highlight.
The song’s sound pulls influences from genres across the board and is littered with references to Viagra and the adversity of non-mutual platonic friendships. It’s quite the four minute trip. Even if this song isn’t poised to conjure up bad memories of failed high school crushes for you personally, it still sounds fantastic. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen.

P.S. This is my first post for CreamTeam. I run my own blog, Newborn Rodeo, and I plan to post here fairly often as well. I hope you enjoy my first selection. I look forward to sharing more music with everyone in the future! Follow me on Twitter to stay in touch.
