I stand by my statement that bloggers are the new A&R reps for the digital age. With Chicago disco-rockers Hey Champ now officially signed and on tour with Lupe Fiasco’s record label, 1st &15th, all I have left to say is, “We told you so”.

Hey Champ sent over their newest mix titled Jet Set and some fresh from the studio remixes. Jet Set stylistically follows suit with their other Hey Champ DJs material, with the welcome addition of T-Pain and the Ying Yang Twins. While admittedly a deviation for the Hey Champ boys who tend to stray from the Top 40 jams, I personally find the interjection of a little radio rap into their repertoire brilliant. If this is the result of collaborating with DJ White Shadow, then they ought to do it a lot more often.
