I am having a bad day. There’s layoffs at my studio that directly affect my workload and there’s this ugly mountain of papers and colored folders on my desk, high enough to make even Everest blush. It just all feels like too much today.
Which is why I was so pleased to put my headphones on and preview the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs album, It’s Blitz! and especially the banger Heads Will Roll—a perfect slice of aggro-dance punk that makes me feel just a little less alone.
Karen’s not saying much, but she says it so beautifully. Glitter over everything / You are chrome / Dance ’til you’re dead.

Yep. What a day… Almost too appropriate that the line "heads will roll" gets thrown in there. I’m loving this new album though–it’s a keeper.
